When two people get married, their credit scores automatically merge into one shared score. True or false?

Explanation
Credit scores are always tied to an individual's Social Security number, not their marital status. Marriage does not merge credit files, create a joint report, or in any way combine scores. Each spouse's credit history remains entirely independent. Couples can have joint accounts that appear on both reports, but even then, each person retains their own score calculated from their own individual credit history.
